She heard what he said, she wasn’t deaf. She also knew what he meant, and that was where she wanted to draw the line. But, she couldn’t. Rose knew this was something she cannot avoid anymore. The name hurt the most . She was the only person to address him by his middle name , and rather than feeling a connection , the way he’d hoped , it just felt distant . Hyperion . Ugly name , really , and he wanted to get past it . It was a childish reason for moving on ; he knew it . But it fueled his courage to continue the conversation as nothing else had ( and now he disliked the name less , if it could incite this power for him ) .
